WebbI've been thinking quite a bit about novels with philosophical undercurrents recently, and I'm wondering what ya'll think. Novels like Infinite Jest are often hard to get through not only because of the magnitude of the work but also because of the conceptual framework the author puts forth that may prove boring or even difficult to grasp for many readers. Secondly, to reflect on those problems, and to reason about them and then, most importantly, to reevaluate. Those are what I call the four Rs of philosophy: respond, reflect, reason and reevaluate.
