If you are worried about the metal holding the mud sills up 1/16" of an inch or so, if you use sill seal this will not be an issue, since the sill sill is roughly 1/4" thick and really doesn't compress as much as you would think, but would compress … Webb1 juli 2024 · For a number of years, we used Simpson Strong-Tie MASAP mudsill anchors, which qualify as an approved substitution for anchor bolts with 3-inch-square plate washers. These seemed like a good alternative to having to adjust the layout for joists that landed on bolts.
